JEFFERSON COUNTY - A 500-pound boulder smashed through the roof of a casino bus on U.S. 6 in Clear Creek Canyon yesterday, injuring nine people, at least two of them seriously.

The People's Choice bus was heading westbound to Black Hawk about 5:40 p.m. in an area of steep canyon walls about 1 mile west of Tunnel No. 1 when the rock came crashing down, said Scott Nathlich of the Colorado State Patrol.
